Age: 1.5 to 2.5 years
At Royal Windsor Montessori and Daycare we have developed a toddler program that supports toddlers to meet developmental milestones. Our program includes developmentally appropriate activities that encourage language development, social awareness and problem solving and self-help skills.
At the age of two children are full with energy in their ability to communicate and assert independence. With the guidance of our teachers toddlers are encouraged to engage in different types of play such as role playing, construction, movement, problem solving, communicating, imagining, reading and writing. Our structured and relaxed toddler classroom contains materials that are both stimulating and challenging allowing toddlers to express their individuality and independence.
Our teacher toddler ratio is 1 to 5 which enables them to create nurturing one-to-one relationships with the children. They are supportive and interested in providing children with a flexible environment and one that fosters creativity. Children are invited to express autonomy through social interaction and language.
Toddlers do not need to be toilet trained. We will however work together with parents to implement and achieve this self-help skill if requested.
